Missions and the Church
ROCKINGHAM
CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Salem, New Hampshire

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Tom Gerdts, lead minister, has this to say about missions at Rockingham Christian Church:

We have been financially faithful from day one by setting aside 10% of our general offerings for missions. It was part of our DNA as a new church. We are intentional in our selection of mission works, wanting to support fewer more significantly and focusing on unreached people groups.

We are all about juxtaposition. We are a church that meets in industrial space with annual outreach events at a racetrack and the public high school. We are bringing the church to the market place, meeting people where they are. We can do outreach better and have room to grow, but are trademark outreach events show that we go to people rather than expecting them to come to us. Secular space becomes sacred space when Christians are ministering to people.
